Cancellation Policy

You can click here to cancel your registration for Kidney Updates 2022. Cancellations received after Monday, August 08, 2022 will incur a $25 processing fee. No refunds after Monday, August 15, 2022. The Organizing Committee of Kidney Updates 2022 may cancel or postpone any course or activity. If a program is canceled or postponed, the committee will refund registration fees but is not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. Preregistered participants will be notified if a program is filled or canceled.

Accommodations

AMA
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Penn State College of Medicine and The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania. Penn State College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Penn State College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

NURSES USING AMA CREDIT
Nurses will receive a certificate from Penn State College of Medicine verifying their participation in 6.5 hours of approved continuing medical education. Continuing education activities which are approved by accredited institutions of higher education and that are relevant to patient care or professional nursing meet the requirements of mandatory continuing education for registered nurses in Pennsylvania, as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The Board of Nursing recommends that nurses retain their certificates for a period of at least five years. PENNSYLVANIA ACADEMY OF NUTRITION & DIETETICS

Application has been submitted to the Commission on Dietetics Registration for 6.5 CPEUs.

SOCIAL WORK
The social work credits will be processed through CME Office of Penn State Health. Penn State is an approved provider as defined by Pa. Code Sections 47.36(a)(3), 48.36(a) (3), and 49.36(a)(3). Social workers, marriage and family therapists, and professional counselors licensed by the state of Pennsylvania can earn 6.5 clock hours of continuing education for completing this course. It is our policy to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all of our sponsored educational programs. Faculty and course directors have disclosed relevant financial relationships with commercial companies, and Penn State has a process in place to resolve any conflict of interest. Complete faculty disclosure will be provided to program participants at the beginning of the activity.
